Johnny Appleseed, John Chapman, lived by and taught the virtues of generosity, humility, stewardship, thrift, entrepreneurship, and caring for one’s fellow man.

Here’s Some of What You Will Discover at the Museum.

  • Dock Family Bible – See the bible which was purported to be carried by Johnny Appleseed himself, this Bible has been in the possession of the descendants of Johnny’s half-sister since 1849 and is entrusted to the museum.

  • Memorial Orchard – With apple trees directly descended from those planted by Johnny Appleseed, this small orchard was dedicated to those who dedicated their time to preserving Johnny Appleseed’s legacy. The apple blossoms should begin in the Spring, though most apple trees will not bear fruit until they are five to ten years old.
